CLASSICAL MAT PILATES

Move through Joe Pilates original 34 exercises on the Mat. We will look at the exercises through the lens of the 6 principles of Pilates, focus on progression and flow, and explore variations when appropriate.

FORM & FUNCTION

This is a 45-minute, quick-paced, music-driven workout that blends Classical Pilates, Functional Movement and Cardio (Pilates experience is recommended but not required, all levels welcome!)

MOMS ON THE MOVE 

Moms on the Move is an effective and efficient workout designed to build strength, boost energy, and create a sense of centering to prepare you for the demands of pregnancy, 4th trimester and motherhood.

MEET JENNY

Jenny knows what it's like to struggle to find balance in a self-care and movement practice. As a lifelong performer, Jenny has tried every modality available in her search for the best way to care for her body, mind, and spirit.  Eventually, over-worked incorrect muscle firing caused her to suffer from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. As a result, Jenny spent two years in Physical Therapy re-educating her body and reconstructing the way she used it on stage, in a fitness environment, and moving through the world day-to-day. As Jenny recovered, she found that Pilates was a safe way to reintegrate into a movement routine. Little did she know at the time that Pilates would change her entire relationship with her body. Through Pilates Jenny learned to love and appreciate her body for the countless ways it takes care of her every single day. 

 

In 2016 Jenny received her Mat Pilates Certification at Core Pilates NYC and completed her Comprehensive Pilates Certification in 2018. 

 

Jenny has a special interest in working with expectant mothers and new moms. It is her driving passion to broaden women's understanding, appreciation, and care for their bodies. Through Fit for Birth, Jenny completed an extensive certification process. She holds certifications as a Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist and is a Pre & Postnatal Diastasis and Core Consultant.

Jenny has also completed continuing education through ScolioPilates. She has both knowledge and a great understanding of the unique needs of clients who have beautiful, curvy spines.

​

Jenny has experience working with ALL types of bodies and believes that there is something for every BODY in the Pilates system. She will meet you where you are and guide you to move and honor your body where it is today. Celebrating what you CAN do until suddenly you discover you're doing so much more than you ever believed possible!
